I ordered them a little tight fitting which is the way I wanted my shoes to fit. Right out of the shipping box they can just as I expected a snug and comfortable fitting pr. of shoes. Because they were a tight fit they needed to be broken in. The break in period was a few days, the right foot is slightly different size and the shoe broke right into the foot. Because this shoe is slightly higher on the ankle there was a slight discomfort from ankle rubbing, that was very brief and went away with normal break in. Higher ankles is better for me because I ride a motorcycle to work as a security guard. I really need good shoes because I'm on my feet standing and walking around performing patrols hours at a time, that is what this pair of Drew footwear has provided. The insoles that they came with are O.K. but I opted for the Gel Sport insoles a upgrade, that was my own preference.
Advantages: Helps to eliminate foot pain, lower back pain and cramps. Comfortable to stand, walk in for hours and short break in.
Disadvantages: The laces are a little long and might become a problem with the motorcycle foot controls they should be shortened for safety reasons.

I read other reviews before I decided to order these and I was happy that I did. Well worth the money I paid for these. I bought a pair of hiking boots that were 2 wide only to get bone spurs on both side of my foot, and after I started wearing these boots, them bone spurs shrunk to nothing, didn't even have to wear my stick on pads anymore. Worth there weight in Gold
Advantages: Definitely agreed with other reviews, you don't need to worry about breaking them in. I wore them the very next day and they felt Great, my orthotic inserts had no problem of fitting inside.
Disadvantages: Without have to break them in, the only disadvantage I had was not tripping by wearing a boot bigger than I'm use to. I usually wear a 4E and these were 4W a bit wider than the E's.

I wear a 10 1/2 AA men's shoe, have had an awful time finding good fitting shoes all my life.
Advantages: Available in N narrow width
Disadvantages: N Narrow width is still a bit too wide for my foot but added insoles help. Factory laces are FAR TOO LONG to be practical.
