In short, Orthotic insoles dramatically reduce your foot pain.
Orthodics are designed to restore your natural foot function. Many biomechanical complaints from walking, such as heel pain, knee pain, and lower back pain are caused by improper foot movement. Orthodics realign the foot and ankle bones to their natural position, thereby restoring proper foot movement. In turn, this helps alleviate problems in other parts of the body. In addition, custom made orthodics cause weight to be more evenly distributed over the foot, taking pressure off sore spots, as they provide shock absorption, which minimizes the effects of walking, running and standing.
foot orthodics benefit people with foot pain or discomfort due to imbalances in weight distribution and improper movement. Imbalances while walking and running can alter the bony structure of your feet and lower legs.
Orthodics Offer Quick Pain Relief!
That's right - as you walk, run, or play sports with our foot orthodics, your feet, arches, and ankles are supported, reducing pain and impact in your feet, knees, and back as well.
In sports, your feet can experience up to 300 - 400% more pressure than in walking or normal activities. OrthoticShop's custom made orthodics are designed to support the bones, ligaments, tendons, and muscles in your feet. By strengthening your heels and ankles, our foot orthodics also align your feet, spine and pelvis.
Orthodics provide extra metatarsal and longitudinal support and cushioning for your feet. Our orthodics are ideal for complete foot support, comfort, correct posture and mechanics. Our custom taylored orthodics are a unique foot support system intended to help relieve over-pronation, while preventing foot strain and injury. Designed with a full-length, arch support, our foot orthodics prevent and treat foot pain. Wearing these orthodics prevent feet rolling inward (over-pronation), which can pull the entire lower body out of alignment.

How Does an Orthodic Work?
Orthodics Distribute Weight
To explain how orthodics function, it is important to understand the mechanics of walking. For each step, the heel ideally should land almost perpendicular to the ground, with a slight inclination of only a few degrees toward the outside of the heel. From there, the weight is distributed progressively toward the outside of the foot.
However, for many people, foot injuries and stresses prevent the weight from being evenly distributed with each step. Athletes exert much greater force than usual on their feet. And, with age, the stresses that your feet endure can start to deform them.
OrthoticShop's orthodics are foot orthodics which have been proven to change the alignment of your feet, evenly distributing your weight as you walk. This relieves foot pain, and prevents future injuries from occurring.
Orthodics are Shock Absorbers
The foot is the body's main shock absorber as the body's weight shifts with each step. It does this through a complex process in which the arch of the foot flattens slightly, bearing the weight of the body.
One problem can occur when the arch does not flatten at all. A person with a high arch, called a cavus foot, may have an arch which does not flatten properly, and thereby, absorbs shock poorly. Instead of the weight of the body spreading throughout the entire foot, it lands only on the heel and the toes. Because the weight is not absorbed well in the foot, it radiates up the leg to other joints. Over time, this can cause pain in the knees, hips and lower back.
Orthodics can correct this problem. OrthoticShop's foot orthodics are custom molded to your arch therefore they provide effective weight distribution over the entire foot.
foot orthodics can help Flat Feet
If your arch is naturally flat, or flattens too much when you walk, other problems can occur. Flat feet, or flat arches are called planus feet. Often, the weight distribution on the foot is too far on the inside. A foot with a flat arch is unstable and cannot maintain proper bone alignment. This can lead to the development bunions, hammertoes, as well as knee and lower back pain.
To address this problem, foot orthodics with an increased arch will be used to redistribute the weight laterally. Also, the heel of the orthodic can be slanted to shift the weight more toward the center of the heel.
